OILspace Solution: This client had a solid scheduling tool for its transport operation, and a good front-end system for marketing activity. What it needed was a simple, yet sophisticated plug-in solution to monitor and plan safe inventory levels to increase stock and product utilization and drive down storage costs. They implemented the ASPect Office Inventory Management solution along with the OILspace Energy Service Bus (ESB). This allowed the client to retain their current logistics, and some operations and front-end applications, and only plug-in the functionality needed to monitor inventories in real time. The ESB was essential in making their enterprise real-time and allowing for the seamless plug-in integration. Planning and reporting tools are very strong within ASPect Office, bringing much-needed visibility to management across the enterprise. Visual alerts now indicate when storage is nearing unacceptable ranges, giving departments time to plan for the best supply options.
