OILspace Appoints New Chief Executive to Lead Growth. Steve Hughes named as new President and CEO

OILspace, a leading provider of real-time on-demand application and integration solutions for downstream energy companies, today announced the appointment of Steve Hughes as its new President and Chief Executive.
Mr. Hughes' appointment completes a company restructure that will accelerate OILspace to the next stage of its strong growth cycle.
Mr. Hughes replaces company founder Steve Hellman, who takes up the position of Chairman of OILspace, and will focus primarily on continuing the company's robust business development and strategic alliances.
With more than 25 years experience as a leader in the IT industry, Hughes was most recently CEO of Carnegie Information Systems, a provider of web-based CRM software solutions, spearheading the reshaping of the business which culminated with a trade sale to an industry conglomerate.

About Steve Hughes
Steve has contributed to the success of many software companies and immediately prior to joining OILspace, he was CEO of Carnegie Information Systems, a provider of highly customizable CRM software solutions. Prior to Carnegie, Steve was the Vice President of International Operations of Europe for YOUcentric, which was purchased by J D Edwards (since acquired by Peoplesoft, now Oracle). At YOUcentric, along with building the company's operations from scratch in the UK and Europe, he participated in the company's IPO, merger and acquisitions activities. He gained significant exposure to the process, and built relationships within both the software and investment community that he has sustained and strengthened since. He also built relationships and business partnerships with key executives within CGEY, PWC and others. Prior to YOUcentric, Steve served on the management teams at POINT Informations Systems, Seer Technologies and Legent Corporation.
