
Marketing Specialist - OILspace London
Nine out of ten of the world’s major energy companies turn to OILspace for energy market data, supply chain management and trading and risk management applications. We have offices in the U.S., London, Moscow and Singapore. To continue our tremendous growth, we need a dynamic, hands-on Marketing Manager to help grow our applications business.
OILspace is looking for an experienced B-to-B Marketer to develop revenue-generating programs for its suite of online market data and trading applications. Drive lead generation, public relations, brand management, search engine marketing and more.
You will work with customer care, product management, sales and management to define opportunities and execute plans. The ideal candidate will have experience in marketing technology products, subscription-based products and preferably have a solid understanding of energy markets.
Responsibilities include:
- Write effective one-to-one sales letters, proposals, powerpoint presentations and emails and banner advertisements for highly targeted prospects.
- Assist in developing regional worldwide databases to deliver qualified leads to sales team.
Strong understanding in list acquisition, database development and utilization of contact management software – preferably SalesForce.com.
- Propose marketing ideas to generate results through online, PR, mail and seminar marketing.
- Work with experts to develop white papers to generate high-level technology prospects.
- Become a product expert on oil-industry specific software products and effectively communicate sales objectives internally and externally.
- Choose vendors and coordinate best prices and practices for printing and promotional efforts.
Should have knowledge of direct marketing techniques.
- Coordinate & ship marketing collateral to offices worldwide as needed.
- Manage multi-lingual website and sales collateral.
- Gain global exposure through localized marketing.
- The enthusiasm to learn new software applications and how they’re used by business users.
The Person:
- Energy, Oil, Petrochemical Marketing experience a Plus.
- At least 3 years' experience of system integration, trading systems, ERP systems and/or software marketing.
- Self-motivated and highly driven.
- A team player but capable of working autonomously.
- Able to manage a number of initiatives and staff at one time.
- Must be proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Excel; Dreamweaver or Front Page a plus for HTML creation; understanding of art programs such as Quark Xpress, Photoshop, Illustrator a must.
